Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Mathematics I, and English Communication Skills.
- Year 2: Intermediate courses such as Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Mass Transfer & Separation Processes.
- Year 3: Advanced topics including Chemical Reaction Engineering, Process Dynamics and Control, and Design Project 1.
- Year 4: Specialization through elective courses and completion of Final Year Project 1 and 2.
Entry Requirements
- Matriculation Candidates: Pass SPM/equivalent with good results, including distinctions in Additional Mathematics; pass KPM Matriculation Certificate/UM Fundamental Science with minimum Grade B- in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics/Biology, and a CGPA of at least 2.75; not color blind or physically handicapped.
- STPM Candidates: Pass SPM/equivalent with good results, including distinctions in Additional Mathematics; pass STPM/equivalent with Grade B- in Additional Mathematics or Advanced Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics/Biology; not color blind or physically handicapped.
- Diploma Holders: Pass SPM/equivalent with distinctions in Additional Mathematics; possess an Engineering Diploma from UTM/equivalent with at least CPA 2.70, or CPA 2.50 plus 2 years of experience in related field; not color blind or physically handicapped.
- International Students: At least three (3) grade C in STPM or GCE 'A' Level or other equivalent pre-university examinations; meet specific course requirements; pass English proficiency requirements (e.g., TOEFL score of at least 550, IELTS band 6.0, or MUET band 4).
