Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including English for Special Purposes, Calculus, Basic Electrical Engineering, Introduction to Medicine, and Anatomy & Physiology.
- Year 2: Intermediate topics such as Engineering Mathematics, Computer Programming, Biomechanics, Digital and Analog Electronics, and Signal & Systems.
- Year 3: Advanced subjects including Biomedical Signal Processing & Analysis, Biomedical Measurement & Instrumentation, Biomedical Imaging System, and Medical Devices Maintenance & Repair.
- Year 4: Specialization through Final Year Project, Design of Biomedical Devices & Systems, Hospital Engineering, and Practical Training.
Entry Requirements
- Foundation: Pass in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- STPM: Pass with a minimum GPA of 2.00 (Grade C) in Mathematics and one Science subject.
- A-Level: Pass with Grade C in three subjects, including Mathematics and one Science subject.
- STAM: Pass with Jayyid grade, including a credit in Mathematics and one Science subject in SPM (or equivalent).
- UEC: Pass with Grade B in five subjects, including Mathematics and one Science subject.
- SAM: Pass with an aggregate of 60% in three subjects, including Mathematics and one Science subject.
- Diploma: In Engineering/Engineering Technology (Level 4, MQF) in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- English Proficiency: Malaysian students: MUET Band 2; International students: IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL 500.
