Course Overview
The Bachelor of Multimedia Technology (Hons.) in Interactive Multimedia Design at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) equips students with comprehensive skills in visual effects, sound and video production, 2D and 3D animation, web development, game design, and interactive media design. Graduates are prepared for dynamic roles such as Interactive Multimedia Designer, Game Designer, Web Developer, and Art Director, contributing effectively to the creative industries.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Introduction to multimedia concepts, drawing, computing, and information systems, alongside foundational courses in English and Malaysian studies.
- Year 2: Advanced topics in visual communication, 2D computer animation, multimedia instructional design, creative advertising, and storyboard design.
- Year 3: Focus on database management systems, web-based authoring, digital audio and video production, 3D computer animation, and multimedia authoring.
- Year 4: Specialized courses in internet programming, research methodology, mixed reality applications, game design, and completion of a final year project, culminating in industrial training.
Entry Requirements
- Pass STPM with two full passes or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
- Recognized Matriculation or Foundation with a CGPA of 2.0.
- Recognized Creative Multimedia Diploma or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Candidates with a CGPA between 2.0 and 2.5 may be admitted, subject to an internal assessment process.
- International students must have completed at least 12 years of previous education and obtained a Higher Secondary School certificate equivalent to 'A' Level.
- English language proficiency: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.
