Course Overview
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing (Honours) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) equips students with comprehensive marketing and business skills, fostering entrepreneurial spirit and leadership qualities. Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Writing for Academic Purposes, Principles of Economics, Principles of Management, Financial Accounting, Business Mathematics, and Business Communication.
- Year 2: Intermediate subjects such as Retail Management, Finance I, Principles of Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Business Statistics, Advertising & Promotion Strategy, Consumer Behavior, Management Information System, Business Law, and Technopreneurship.
- Year 3: Advanced topics including E-Marketing, Innovation Management, Retail Merchandising Management, Customer Relationship Management, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Management, Sales Management, Pricing Strategy & Tactics, Marketing Channels Management, Marketing Research, and Personal Selling.
- Electives: Options such as Human Resource Management, Small Business Management, Strategic Management, Creative Problem-Solving, Operation Management, and Supply Chain Management.
- Internship: Practical industry experience in the final semester.
Entry Requirements
- Pass STPM or its equivalent with at least Grade C (GP2.0) in any two subjects, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level, or any equivalent qualification.
- A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level.
- Any qualifications equivalent to a Diploma or Advanced Diploma with a CGPA of 2.00.
- Matriculation/Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00, or any equivalent qualification.
- Pass A-Level with minimum Grade D in two subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at O level, or any equivalent qualification.
- Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points.
- Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized by the government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.
- Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:
- It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin.
- It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor's degree programme in the country of origin.
- Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) Qualification:
- Pass DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subject to the approval of the Senate/Academic Board of the relevant institution; or
- Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and have at least two years of work experience in the related field.
