The Bachelor in Tourism Planning and Development (Honours) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Business School equips students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in tourism management and development. Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses such as Writing for Academic Purposes, Principles of Economics, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Business Mathematics, and Introduction to Tourism Planning.
- Year 2: Intermediate subjects including Foreign Languages, Principles of Facilities Management, Business Communication, Business of Tourism, Statistics for Tourism, Human Resource Management, and Tourism Development.
- Year 3: Advanced topics like Innovation Management, Tourism Research Methods, Development Concept and Application in Tourism, Travel and Tour Management, Air Fares and Ticketing, Event Management, Tourism Fieldwork, Tourism Project Management, Resort and Theme Parks Planning, and an Internship/Apprenticeship.
Entry Requirements
- Pass STPM with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level, or any equivalent qualification.
- Pass STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level.
- Matriculation/Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00, or any equivalent qualification.
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent.
- International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.0 in IELTS or its equivalent.
