The Bachelor in Fashion Design with Marketing (Honours) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Malaysia Italy Design Institute (MIDI) offers a comprehensive education in fashion design, branding, marketing, consumer behavior, and manufacturing. This program equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the dynamic fashion industry, preparing graduates for roles such as fashion designer, pattern maker, fashion forecaster, and fashion marketer.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Basic Pattern Garment & Construction, Fashion Culture and History, and Introduction to Fashion Marketing.
- Year 2: Intermediate studies covering CAD for Fashion, Fashion Design Practice, and Digital Marketing.
- Year 3: Advanced topics such as Fashion Brand and Management, Fashion Journalism, and a Final Year Project, culminating in an industrial training placement.
Entry Requirements
- STPM: A pass with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two subjects, or its equivalent.
- STAM: A pass with a minimum grade of Jayyid, or its equivalent.
- Matriculation/Foundation: Minimum CGPA of 2.00, or its equivalent.
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF): Minimum CGPA of 2.00, or its equivalent.
- Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) in suitable fields: Minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to Senate/Academic Board’s approval.
- DKM/DLKM/DVM: A pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and at least two years of working experience in a related discipline.
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
- Pass an interview or submission of portfolio as determined by the institution.
- English Language Requirement: Minimum score of Band 3 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent.
