Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Understanding Biotechnology, Introductory Biology, and General Chemistry.
- Year 2: Core sciences such as Microbiology, Genetics, and General Biochemistry, along with discipline-specific modules like Bioinformatics and Cell and Molecular Biology.
- Year 3: Advanced topics including Industrial Microbiology, Innovation and Commercialisation, and Introduction to Bioprocess Engineering, culminating in a research project and industrial training.
Entry Requirements
- STPM or equivalent: Minimum Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any two subjects and SPM with three credits including Mathematics and one Science subject.
- A-Level: Minimum Grade D in any two subjects and possess SPM or equivalent with three credits including Mathematics and one Science subject.
- UEC: Pass with at least Grade B in five subjects inclusive of Mathematics and one Science subject.
- Foundation/Matriculation/Asasi: Minimum CGPA 2.00 and possess SPM or its equivalent with three credits in Mathematics and one Science subject.
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF): Minimum CGPA 2.00.
- English Language Requirements for International Students: IELTS 5.0, MUET 3.5, TOEFL 7.5 (Ess Online) / 40 (iBT), Pearson 47, Linguaskill OL 154, or ELS 107.
