Program Structure
- Phase 1 (Years 1 & 2): Focuses on preclinical studies, covering basic medical sciences taught in organ-system blocks. Students engage in Personal and Professional Development (PPD) and Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) modules, with visits to Hospital Tanjung Karang for practical experience.
- Phase 2 (Years 3 to 5): Emphasizes clinical training through rotational postings in various medical disciplines at affiliated hospitals, including Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and Hospital Tanjung Karang, as well as primary care clinics.
Entry Requirements
- STPM/A-Levels: Grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in three subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics.
- Matriculation/Foundation in Science/Pre-Medical Course (minimum 1 year): CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics; and five B’s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/Additional Mathematics, and one other subject at SPM/O-Level or equivalent.
- UEC: Minimum B4 in five subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Additional Mathematics.
- International Baccalaureate (IB): 30 points with a minimum of two science subjects/Mathematics at Higher Level (HL) and one science subject at Standard Level (SL), with a minimum score of 4 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics.
- English Proficiency: Minimum Band 4 in MUET (local candidates) or Band 6 in IELTS/550 in TOEFL (international candidates).
