Course Overview
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) equips students with essential skills in logistics operations, supply chain management, and strategic decision-making, preparing graduates for roles such as procurement and distribution manager, freight forwarding and customs officer, and supply chain manager.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Organizational Management, Business Mathematics, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Business Economics, Basic Marketing, Introduction to Statistics, Calculus, Business Law, and four free electives.
- Year 2: Intermediate courses such as Organizational Behavior, Operations Management, Cost Accounting, Financial Management, Quantitative Methods and Statistics, Introduction to Logistics Management, Transport Theory and Practice, Professional Communication, Research Method, Basic Econometrics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, International Trade Law, and International Shipping Practices.
- Year 3: Advanced courses including International Business, Project Paper 1, Supply Chain Logistics Management, Strategic Management, Warehouse Management, Strategic Logistics Management, International Logistics, Quality Management, Inventory Management, Project Paper 2, and a 12-week Industrial Training.
Entry Requirements
- STPM: Minimum CGPA of 2.00, with a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level.
- STAM: Minimum grade of jayyid, with a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level.
- A-Level: Minimum 2 Principal Passes and a pass in Mathematics at O-Level.
- UEC: Minimum 5Bs, including a pass in Mathematics.
- Diploma/HND: Minimum CGPA of 2.00, including a pass or 50% and above in Mathematics.
- Foundation/Matriculation: Minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- SAM/HSC/AUSMAT: TER/UAI: average 50%, including Mathematics.
- CPU/CIMP: Average of 50%, including Mathematics.
- IB: 24 points or higher based on 6 subjects, with a minimum level 4 for each subject.
- Other Qualifications: As recognized by the Senate of IUKL as equivalent to STPM.
- English Language Requirement: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL (PBT) 513, TOEFL (IBT) 46, PTE 51, MUET Band 3, or Cambridge English 160.
