Course Overview
The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Human Resource Management at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) equips students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills, preparing graduates for roles such as HR Manager, Recruitment Manager, and Training & Development Manager.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational topics including Introduction to Management, Accounting Skills, Business Economics, and People Management.
- Year 2: Intermediate topics such as Behavioural Science in Organisation, Business Ethics and Governance, Employee Development, and Employment Law.
- Year 3: Advanced topics including Strategic Management, International Human Resource Management, HR Analytics, and Leadership Theory and Practice.
- Internship: A 16-week industrial training to bridge academic learning with practical experience.
Entry Requirements
- STPM: 2 Passes with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) and a Pass in English and Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent.
- A-Level: 2 Passes (Grade A-D) with a Pass in English and Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or its equivalent.
- UEC: 5 Grade B’s with a Pass in Mathematics and English.
- Matriculation/Foundation: Passed Foundation programme with a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
- English Language Requirements: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL IBT 46-59, Pearson (PTE) 42, or MUET Band 4.
